Planning your wedding dress shopping experience should feel exciting, not overwhelming. From appointments and pricing to sizing, ordering, alterations, and what to bring, we’ve answered some of the most common questions brides ask before visiting J. Andrew’s Bridal in Peachtree City, Georgia.

Before Your Bridal Appointment
Yes. Appointments are required so every bride can receive personalized attention from one of our experienced bridal stylists. Reserving an appointment also ensures we have a fitting room available and plenty of time to focus on you, your style, and your wedding vision.
Our Complimentary Styling Appointment is completely free. We do ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice or missed without notice will be subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
Looking for an elevated experience? We also offer upgraded bridal appointments ranging from $50 to $175, with options for additional guests, private shopping experiences, and other special touches.
Most bridal appointments last approximately one to one and a half hours. However, we never want you to feel rushed. Your stylist will guide you through the experience at a pace that feels comfortable while helping you narrow down your options and find the gown that feels like you.
We recommend booking at least one to two weeks in advance, especially if you would like a weekend appointment. Weekend availability tends to fill quickly, so booking early gives you the best selection of appointment times.
Guest limits depend on the appointment experience you select.
Our Complimentary Styling Appointment can accommodate the bride plus up to five guests. Our More the Merrier appointment offers our largest suite and accommodates the bride plus up to seven guests. Private upgraded appointments offer even more flexibility for larger groups.
We understand that things happen. If you are running late, please contact us as soon as possible.
Arriving more than 15 minutes late without notice may be considered a no-show and will be subject to our cancellation fee.
Depending on our appointment schedule, we may also need to shorten your appointment or help you find a later available time.
We recommend arriving a few minutes early so you can settle in and enjoy your experience from the very beginning.
Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and confident. Most wedding gowns have built-in cups and support, so you typically will not need to wear a bra while trying on dresses.
We recommend wearing nude or seamless undergarments if possible. Your stylist will be there to help you in the fitting room and make sure each gown is clipped and styled so you can envision the proper fit.
You do not need to bring much. If you already know the approximate heel height you plan to wear on your wedding day, bringing a similar pair of shoes can be helpful when considering gown length.
If you have a special accessory, heirloom, veil, or other item you know you would like to incorporate into your bridal look, you are also welcome to bring it along.

Wedding Dresses, Styles & Sizing
Every appointment at J. Andrew’s Bridal is personalized, including the gowns your stylist selects based on your ideal price range.
Our designer bridal collection includes wedding gowns priced up to $4,500. When booking your appointment, simply let us know your preferred price range and your stylist will thoughtfully select gowns that reflect both your style and your budget.
Flexible payment options are also available for bridal gown purchases.
Size inclusivity has been an important part of J. Andrew’s Bridal since we opened our doors in 2005.
Our collection includes wedding dresses for a wide range of body types and sizes, including plus size, petite, and tall brides. We want every bride to be able to experience how a gown will truly look and feel rather than having to imagine herself in a dress that does not properly represent her size.
Our current bridal samples range from sizes 4-32.
Your stylist is also trained to expertly clip and fit sample gowns so you can better visualize how your wedding dress will fit once ordered in your correct size.
Absolutely! J. Andrew’s Bridal has proudly championed size-inclusive bridal fashion for more than 20 years.
Our plus size wedding dress collection includes a variety of silhouettes, fabrics, necklines, and styles so you can explore options that complement both your personal style and how you want to feel on your wedding day.
Your stylist will focus on finding dresses you genuinely love, while making sure you feel comfortable, confident, and celebrated throughout your appointment.
Of course. You do not need to know your ideal wedding dress silhouette before your appointment.
Your bridal stylist will learn what you love, what you feel comfortable wearing, and how you envision yourself on your wedding day. From there, we can introduce you to different wedding dress shapes, necklines, fabrics, and silhouettes that complement your proportions and personal style.Sometimes the dress you never expected to love ends up being the one!
Yes. Depending on the designer and gown, petite sizing and extra-length options may be available.
Our stylists can help determine whether one of these options would create a better starting fit and potentially reduce the amount of alterations needed later.
Yes! There are two ways to find your gown at J. Andrew’s Bridal.
If you fall in love with an in-store gown that works for your size, color, and wedding timeline, you may be able to purchase it and take it home that day.
If you need another size, color, length, or customization option, we can special order your gown from the designer. Your stylist will help determine which option works best for you.
In many cases, yes. Certain designers allow us to request loaner samples for brides who would like to try a specific gown that we do not currently have in store.
Shipping fees may apply, and we recommend making your request several weeks before your appointment whenever possible.

Yes. J. Andrew’s Bridal is home to our beloved Wisdom + Willow collection. Wisdom + Willow brings together beautiful, distinctive bridal designs with something especially meaningful to us: the opportunity to give back to organizations within our local community.
Ordering, Payment & Wedding Timeline
We recommend beginning your wedding dress search well in advance so you have plenty of time for shopping, ordering, and alterations.
Many designer wedding gowns are made to order, so starting early gives you the greatest flexibility when choosing your dress.
If your wedding is approaching quickly, don't worry. We also have options for brides working with shorter timelines, including rush orders and select wedding dresses that may be available to purchase out of the collection.
Most special-order wedding gowns arrive within approximately four to eight months.
Rush options may also be available, with certain gowns arriving in less than a month depending on the designer and style.
Your wedding date is one of the first things your stylist will consider, so we will only guide you toward gowns and ordering options that work with your timeline.
We offer several flexible payment options depending on your gown and wedding timeline.
Options may include splitting your balance into three or four monthly payments or placing as little as 10% down through a layaway option. Interest fees may apply to certain payment options.
Once you find your dress, our team will walk you through the available choices so you can select the option that works best for you.
Yes! A shorter timeline does not mean you have to compromise on finding a gown you love.
Depending on your wedding date, your stylist can help you explore rush-order options as well as wedding dresses available for immediate out of the collection purchase.

Wedding Dress Alterations
Yes. One of the benefits of being a J. Andrew’s Bride is having access to our experienced alteration team.
Our seamstresses work exclusively with J. Andrew’s Brides and have extensive experience altering bridal gowns. From perfecting the overall fit to refining individual details, our goal is to make sure your gown feels just as beautiful as it looks.
Alterations are best started approximately three months before your wedding whenever possible.
Your exact timeline may vary depending on the gown, the alterations needed, and your wedding date. Our team will help guide you through the process so everything is completed in time for your final fitting.
Most brides have approximately two to four fittings.
This typically includes an initial fitting, one or more fittings to review the work in progress, and a final fitting to make sure everything looks and feels exactly right before your wedding day.
Alteration costs vary depending on your gown and the amount of work required. Brides can generally expect alterations up to $1,000.
Once our alteration team evaluates your gown and the adjustments needed, we can provide more specific guidance for your dress
Collections, Trunk Shows & Events
Yes! We regularly host bridal events, designer spotlights, trunk shows, and other special shopping opportunities throughout the year.
These events can be a wonderful opportunity to discover additional wedding dress styles, preview new collections, or enjoy a unique bridal shopping experience.
Questions About Mothers & Bridesmaids
Yes. Our Bridesmaid Styling Appointment includes a $75 styling fee, with $50 applied toward the purchase of your bridesmaid dress.
Our stylists can help your bridal party explore colors, silhouettes, and styles to create a look that complements your wedding vision.
For an elevated experience, we also offer our Girls Night Out appointment. This $150 experience includes light bites, a custom bridesmaid hanger, red carpet fun, and special moments captured by our content creator, with $50 applied toward the purchase of a bridesmaid dress.
Yes. J. Andrew’s Bridal offers a curated collection of Mother of the Bride and Mother of the Groom dresses, with styles priced up to $1,100.
Our stylists provide the same personalized guidance to moms, helping them find a look that feels flattering, comfortable, and appropriate for the celebration.
